Why You Should Backup Your Photos

Welcome back to another Wednesday Why! Our lovely boss Theresa does one every week over on our Facebook. It is linked down below for your viewing pleasure.

Reason #1: If You're (Flawed) Device Crashes, You've Lost EVERYTHING

Personally I've never had a computer survive past 9 years, except maybe my dinosaur Gateway computer, but that's one where I really prayed it would die. So since technology is inherently flawed and is bound to die one day, don't procrastinate, and make sure you backup everything today.

Reason #2: You Don't Want To Lose Precious Memories

Since most of us are caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we tend to let the little things fall to the bottom of the list. But if you lose 10 years worth of photos, that would be super depressing. Backup your precious moments, people!

Reason #3: It Gives You A Reason To Finally Organize Everything

At this point your phone is carrying years of memories, including: new homes, new babies, graduations, the little moments, and more. It would be nice to be able to find those.

For all my organizational nerds out there you can label different drives for different years, and have, in essence, a digital photo album.

Reason #4: There Are Tons Of Affordable Options Out There

Cloud:

There is iCloud, Google Drive, Google Photos and plenty more services offered. Google Drive even offers a free amount of storage, that is totally worth looking into.

Physical Devices:

Walk into any Best Buy and there will be tons of accommodating employees who are quick to guide you towards your needs. You can get a portable drive, a USB drive, or even a physical drive if you have even larger needs. There are tons of affordable options, and no reason not to.

Reason #5: Businesses Need To Remain Professional, Which Means Not Losing Important Documents

Businesses especially need to backup important things, things like logos, photos, videos, and important documents. That way you don't have to explain to a client why you lost things or not be able to access your LLC/EIN information when needed.

Reason #5: It Makes Transferring To A New Device Easier & All Your Photos Accessible On Multiple Devices

If you backup on a cloud you will be able to access your photos on multiple devices, including phones and tablets, when you're out and about. It also means when you decide to splurge on a new computer, the transfer of data will be effortless.

Reason #6: Most People Don't Have Physical Prints In Their Home

Since the digital copy is all you have, you should have it saved in multiple areas. Personally, we would love to see your irreplaceable photos up in your home, as well.

Business Update

On a different note we are really excited for how well our new videography branch is doing. We have several upcoming meetings with new clients discussing videography. We have two almost finished commercials coming out soon. We have really been enjoying highlighting products, introducing business owners in video form, and documenting the process of how they create their work. Always feel free to check out our website for our portfolio. We service Cochise County and surrounding areas.

That's all for now, see you next week!
